For those interested in what the article is about, here is a quick summary:

Tuesday evening the pioneer in hollywood action movies Jean-Claude Van Damme arrived in Zagreb, Croatia. Its his first visit to croatia and follows an invitation by Mirko Filipovic. Mirko, his son Ivan and Manager Zvonimir Lucic welcomed Van Damme. A female reporter asked him, if it is true, that he can break an egg with his buttocks muscles, refering to a dialog from an eipsode of the series Friends in 1996 (yea, silly).

Van Damme will stay at Mirko Filipovics house (no, not the one you saw posted here) and will join him in training. A trip to Mirko’s place of birth is scheduled as well, where Mirko still has his first Van Damme poster in his parents house. 15 years ago Van Dammes movies “Bloodsport” and “Kickboxer” inspired Mirko to become a fighter / martial artist.

Cro Cop is allowing Jean-Claude to train with him and Team Cro-Cop, he’s not learning from Jean-Claude or anything lol. This is a social visit. Jean-Claude’s father saw Mirko on the TV and told him, that a very talented fighter with checkered shots said in an interview, that Jean-Claude and his movies are the reason he started. Van Damme then decided to call Cro Cop and tell him how honoured he felt, when he heard this. Since Van Damme was Cro Cops childhood idol he decided to invite Van Damme during that phone call and thats it.

As for the rumor you heard Dean: its bogus. Jean-Claude is doing movies (one in bulgaria right now) and even planned to make a movie about MMA (featuring CroCop, Minotauro, Shogun and other real fighters). But this movie idea is just what it is: an idea.

It’s Mirko’s first and only movie appearance to date. The title is Ultimate Force and I believe it the movie was a bonus in the Cro-Cop (Best Fights) DVD Collection at one point.

The plot is thin and its low budget, but knowing that Mirko really was part of an anti-terrorist unit I can imagine no terrorist wants to attack croatia anytime soon. :D

Basically Mirko wanted to show Van Damme what he used to do as a profession (when he was a member of the anti-terrorist unit ATJ LuÃ"?ko). Van Damme, who said he is not a fan of weapons, was shown a demonstration of various tactical scenarios and combat situations the unit is training for and also tested a few of the weapons (9mm HS 2000, 9mm Smith&Wesson and a Heckler&Hoch automatic weapons MP7). Lots of shooting for someone who doesnt like weapons.
