UFC Quick Quote: PRIDE USA VP denies deal

jerry millen discuss ufc pride deal

"It's bullshit. You can't believe what you read on the Internet and as a matter of fact I just got off the phone with Japan and Pride has not been sold and is not being sold to anyone, especially to Zuffa. We are in the process of making some ground breaking deals that will be bringing in large sums of revenue to the company and making it stronger than ever."

--Pride USA Vice President, Jerry Millen, on the major rumor that the Fertittas have reached an agreement to purchase the Japanese mixed martial arts promotion for $65 million as told to GracieFighter.com.

Come on! This is like the biggest thing to ever happen to mma and we cant get a straight story. THis is like having a girl call you and tell you have twins, having a pat. test come up negative and then her calling back and telling you, you tested the wrong twin. It would be feakin awesome if they did unite. I’m drooling over the potential match-ups now!

Yeah well they better fix their next pay-per-view. On the same day as the UFC and a shit card so far. Just that one guy that beat the Nogueira brother. So far no good.

This is ridiculous! I have been an avid reader on here for the past couple of months and when you posted the news of Zuffa purchasing Pride a tear of joy came to my eyes. I think we can all agree that would provide the MMA world with some spectacular bouts. Now all of a sudden instead of an official announcement that this is happened we get more controversy! What is going on explain please!

Working on something right now that should tie everything together and provide the most accurate update. Things still look good, despite this comment.

Jerry Millen is a shmuck. I wouldn’t believe a word he says. He hates the idea of the Fertittas buying the organization because he knows he will be out a job. I can’t think of a single thing he has done good for MMA. I smell Bull S**T and it’s coming from Jerry Millen’s mouth.

ya i think this guy is full of shit. he lies because he hates dana

The word of the Pride USA VP doesn’t mean anything at all. He is Ed Fisherman’s little bitch and might try to put up some distraction, while Fisherman can finalize his lawsuit against PrideFC Japan.

Can’t wait for the thing you mentioned UFCmania, hit us!

I hope to god its for real… It would make my century. I’m not sure how the match ups would work though, Between Cage and Ring. I can see them establishing one or the other if its under one roof… Only time will tell

That guy pisses me off, everytime I see him I wanna smash a skull, his for example. Why does that guy have a job? If all is well and Zuffa does get pride, please fire his ass first and foremost, even if not, how out of touch with American audiance are these guys that that guy is allowed to have a microphone?

Better yet instead of Dana vs. Tito, have Dana vs. this dutsch. Anyone that looks like that has to be good a taking a pounding, hah I mean beating.

by Bawana on Mar 22, 2007 8:04 AM EDT reply actions

Yeah, Id like to see Dana take him behind the barn.
