UFC 68 Video: Randy Couture talks career, Sylvia

Randy Couture -- who will fight Tim Sylvia tomorrow at UFC 68 for the heavyweight title -- recently sat down with J.T. McCarthy from The Fight Network for an extensive interview on his upbringing, amateur wrestling career, start in mixed martial arts, his comeback and so much more.

This interview, which is split in two parts, is a bit long.

However, if you want to know more about Couture the individual -- and not just the fighter -- this is something you need to watch. It also extensively details his feelings on mixed martial arts and the role he plays in the sport.

As usual, Couture is articulate and represents himself and the UFC well. And, he likes liver on onions.

Check out Part I:

And Part II:

couture is a class act and a living legend in mma, but i think even he knows he can’t win this one, at 205 he could still probably beat some of the top comp but the heavyweights in the ufc are getting better and better and its gonna be hard for him to compete with those guys, sylvia is too big, couture is outmatched, sorry randy

Randy is definately a class act. Im glad to see hes happy with his life right now. Hey you never know what will happen with this guy. I say if Jeff monson was able to take the big man down then randy can do it. The only way i see randy winning is by decision from takin tim down and staying on top keeping busy.

I love all those that doubted the older, shorted, lighter, and shorted reaching old man…

That man is a STUD!!! Pain and simple… Poor Tim is going to need about a week to start seeing out of that purple bass-ball size eye of his… hehehehhe

Never doubt Randy Couture, when everyone says he has no chance, he shocks the world. I had the pleasure of working out at his gym several times during his prep for the fight, to be honest, I never had doubt after seeing what I saw first hand.
