Early UFC 67 betting odds released

We recently received the latest betting lines for UFC 67 from BetUs.com. And, as expected, Mirko Cro Cop is a massive favorite.
I'm tempted to put a little scratch on Eddie Sanchez -- the payout would be insane if he pulled off a Buster Douglas upset.

Can anyone explain to me what "Mirko (-1400) and Sanchez ( 900) actually means?
Does it mean: You wager $1,400 on Mirko to win $1,000, and $900 on Sanchez to win $1,000?
If that is the case, I’d gladly risk $1,400 on Mirko to win $1,000.

Thanks. In that case I’d wager $100 on Sanchez to win $900. In a fight anything can happen.
