UFC Fight Night marathon on Spike today

Happy New Year everyone. I hope that the celebrations were fun and safe last night.

I was stuck working and didn't have much time to update the blog.

Therefore, I'm going to try and remedy that today by first reminding you that SpikeTV will re-air five UFC Fight Night cards throughout the day beginning at 9:00 a.m.

It's a great excuse not to get out of bed or leave the couch very often.

If you plan to spend today watching some of the great college bowl game match ups, click over to SpikeTV frequently during commercials or halftime.

These fights — especially the classic Sanchez-Parisyan battle — are always better the second time around. And, you might even catch UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson "Pure Pimp" Silva annihilate Chris Leben sometime around 4:30 p.m. EST.

USC-Michigan can wait, right?

Here's the programming schedule for your convenience:

Assuerio Silva vs. Tim Sylvia
Monday, January 1 at 9:00 a.m.

Evan Tanner vs. David Loiseau
Monday, January 1 at 11:00 a.m.

Diego Sanchez vs. Karo Parisyan
Monday, January 1 at 1:00 p.m.

Anderson Silva vs. Chris Leben
Monday, January 1 at 3:00 p.m.

Stephan Bonnar vs. Keith Jardine
Monday, January 1 at 5:00 p.m.

Once again, Happy New Year — 2007 is going to be quite a year for the UFC.
