We told you what we wanted for Christmas this year.
Ultimate Grappling Magazine, however, recently caught up with some current and former UFC fighters such as Rich Franklin and Matt Lindland and asked them what was on their lists.
Better late than never.
Here's what they had to say:
"My holiday wish is for my wife, kids and I to get some time just to ourselves." – former UFC fighter Matt Lindland
"I want an H2 Hummer (Dana, are you reading this? LOL!). A laptop computer would also be nice." - UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk
"Happiness. Every year my father gave me a new football for Christmas and every year we spent tons of time tossing that ball. The ball wasn't the best gift ... the time together was." - Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin
"I want some more quality time with the family. As for everything else, I am happy ... just extremely busy!" – Former UFC fighter Bas Rutten
"Peace throughout the world and for everyone to focus on building up the world - not destroying it." - UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva
"A happy day with the family and a big bowl of chocolate fudge ice cream!" - UFC middleweight Mike Swick
"Because I am Jewish, I will take eight wins [for Andrei Arlovski]. The Eight Days of Hanukah ... one win for each night." - Keith Gelman, Arlovski's agent
Welterweight contender Josh Koscheck (8-1) is also featured in the January 2007 edition of the magazine, which is on newsstands now.
Here's the premis of the article:
PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER 1? KOS may be one of the least liked fighters in the UFC, but that is just the way he likes it. Find out why Josh Koscheck feels this way.
If you haven't already, also check out a recent article in The Hamilton Spectator that follows the Canadian UFC welterweight Jeff "The Inferno" Joslin (5-3) behind the scenes prior to his fight with Koscheck at UFC Fight Night at Miramar.
It's a good read.
