Former UFC Fighter David Loiseau to fight on Showtime under Pro Elite banner
The Crow has landed.
After being unexpectedly released from his UFC contract back in November on the heels of back-to-back losses inside the Octagon (to read more about that click here), former UFC middleweight David "The Crow" Loiseau announced that he has signed with Pro Elite Inc.
Pro Elite recently closed a first-of-its-kind deal with cable station Showtime to broadcast mixed martial arts shows beginning in February 2007.
Here's a snip from Loiseau:
It's CROWTIME ON SHOWTIME!
Hey everybody, hope all is well. Good NEWS....I just signed a fight deal with Pro Elite who's going to have MMA fights live on SHOWTIME. Don't know who the opponent will be yet, but I'm signed and back in the cage on February 10th. Yessssssssssssssssssssss!! Thank you sooooo much for the kind words and support during the past months. God Bless and happy Holidays. I'm turning 27 on Sunday Dec 17th... What a birthday present! That's what I'm talking about.
It's good to see such a talented and hardworking fighter get back on track. We hope to see him back in the UFC cage sometime real soon.

Why I the hell would David return to the UFC. David and fighters like david, fight for their livelyhood and because they love to engage. The UFC has terminated his contract. His path has diverged away from the UFC and he should now follow or make a new path.
David: Don’t look back. That is my advice to you.
Life is full of times of reflection and action. The reflection is now over. Now is a time for action my friend.
Your fan RN.
And, good luck (not that you need it).

I still cant believe “The Crow” was let go,
Its my belief that at 27 theres a lot more to come
from him.
After his 4 fight deal is done I hope he is back to the big
show, but for now Im happy and excited to watch him fight
where ever.
After this Dana shot I pity the fool standing in front of him,
Dont blink…you might miss it…Go Loiseau!

Beconfident in yourself when you fight. Let yourself go and watch them all drop at your feet yaaaaaaaa!!! You can be at the top – go for it!!! Show them who you are!!!

It’s good to hear that my favorate fighter is still doing his thing. I was wondering what happened, why I never saw “The Crow” fighting in the UFC. That leaves GSP for me to watch now ( he’s also my fav ), You will be missed. I’ve enojyed watching your your fights( the 2 I was able to see on Spike TV )at least I still have the news reports to keep up with. I wish you the best in whatever you chose to do and good luck with Pro Elite. Knock Em’ out hard…

Just a thought from a guy who has been around hand to hand combat sports for 30 years. As a saying from the movie the last Samurai goes (to much mind) which is the only thing I can see holding you back. I will not go into why the UFC let you go as that is still a mystery. I have watched your fight with franklin many times and will give my opinion as an athlete not a fan. Your fight plan was perfect at the beginning of the fight, coming out with the south paw stance and confusing franklin. It is only when you moved away from the plan that things went awry. You no doubt can strike with a fighter like Franklin however you need to use the tools you have IE. elbows, kicks,. When you caught Ace with that left you surprised yourself and him because one more clean shot and he was done. I believe although Ace is a good fighter that he is highly overrated and with more experience is not in the same class as you. I would love to see someone with great wrestling skills as GSPs take Ace down and smother him with gnd and pnd. I would like to see the same thing happen to Silva as I don’t think either of them could handle it. Going out on a limb here however as good as Silva is I also believe he is overrated. I believe all you need to add is wrestling and a little better cardio as you can never have to much cardio. Remember this is only my opinion as an athlete. You are a great fighter and can be even better as you are still young. Hold your head high and keep working with GSP. I hpoe to see you back in the UFC kicking some ass like I know you can and show Dana what a mistake he made. Winning the belt would be even better. It is my hope this letter is a positive one for you. By the way at the age of 44 I am going to start training and make a come back in amateur wrestling so my two girls can see me compete before I get to old. Watching fighters like you,GSP, BJ penn and Randy Couture have inspired me to do this.
