UFC terminates Loiseau contract
Just when we thought the middleweight division couldn't get much thinner, the UFC canceled the contract of David Loiseau.
"The Crow," who has compiled a 4-3 record in the Octagon, issued this statement:
"The UFC recently cancelled my contract following my decision loss at UFC 63. It saddens me because I felt like the UFC was my home. But I guess I'll have to find a new place to call home."
The 185-pound Canadian began 2006 as the number one middleweight contender. But back-to-back losses to Rich Franklin and Mike Swick this year apparently forced his early exit.
Something tells us he will work his way back – he's done it before.
Best of luck, David.

That is a shame. He is a good fighter. How much are the contracts for these middle-road fighters? From the amounts you posted for the most recent UFC fights I can’t imagine it is all that much. In which case, what is the harm in keeping him on for another year?

Not much, really. Somewhere around 20K just to show up, then another “win” bonus around the same amount. It varies from fight-to-fight. Only the champs get nice pay days really.
His performance against Swick wes dissapointing. Perhaps the UFC is doing this to light a match under his ass so he gets back on the winning track.

the crow has a lot of great tools but he is so emotional he almost seems unstable at times, hopefully a few more fights will help him be more focused and worklike
