UFC 62 catches a Buzz

People everywhere were searching for UFC-related news and information following the latest "pay-per-view extravaganza," according to the Yahoo! Buzz Index.

According to Yahoo!, a subject's buzz score is:

... the percentage of Yahoo! users searching for that subject on a given day, multiplied by a constant to make the number easier to read. Weekly leaders are the subjects with the greatest average buzz score for a given week.

That's double the normal amount of searches for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Searches for Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell spiked 96 percent following his quick dismantling of Renato "Babalu" Sobral. Considering his meek performance, Babalu didn't do too badly either in the Buzz, registering about half the of the query volume on Liddell.

Forrest Griffin was also a fan favorite after his unanimous decision over Stephan Bonnar. Other surges after a big weekend at Mandalay Bay, according to the Buzz, included:
