On Wednesday, June 28, at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, eight UFC vets will look to move up the ladder on Spike TV's Ultimate Fight Night (UFN), according to UFC.com.

Here are the scheduled bouts:

Chris Leben vs. Anderson Silva
Stephan Bonnar vs. Rashad Evans
Branden Lee Hinkle vs. Jason Lambert
Josh Koscheck vs. Dave Menne
Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves
Luke Cummo vs. Jonathan Goulet

Some interesting notes:

--Hinkle will make his 205-pound debut
--Lambert is unbeaten in the Octagon at 2-0
--Menne is the former UFC middleweight champion

The battle to get into title contention in the UFC is a tough one, filled with peaks, valleys and formidable obstacles along the way.

Let's just hope the obstacles are more formidable than the last UFN, which was boring and a bit controversial with the Bonnar decision over Jardine.
